If you like to get paid a lot for having a good time, tourism officials in Australia are looking for you. Tourism Queensland is offering what's being dubbed as the "best job in the world." The six-month gig calls for one person to work 12 hours each month feeding fish and blogging while traveling the hundreds of islands located in Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Tourism spokeswoman Shana Pereira says the response has been overwhelming.
The job includes a rent-free, three-bedroom villa that features a swimming pool. There's also a hefty salary -- 103-thousand dollars to be exact. Hopefuls must submit a video application online at www.islandreefjob.com by February 22nd. So far, over 200-thousand applications have been submitted.
