Private School Says 100-0 Win Will Be Forfeited
(Dallas, TX) -- An elite North Dallas private school plans to forfeit a 100-0 win over a much weaker school whose students generally have learning difficulties. Last week, The Covenant School girls team beat Dallas Academy 100-0 and the Dallas Academy Athletic Director says Covenant kept its first string players on the court for nearly the entire game, apparently in an effort to reach that 100-point plateau. Officials for Covenant apologized in person to Dallas Academy on Thursday and notified the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools that it plans to forfeit its win in the game. Dallas Academy has withdrawn its girls team from any further TAPPS competition and plans to compete against junior varsity teams instead.
