Disney Parks Temporarily Close 8 Attractions

Disney parks are renovating eight attractions and other venues that are shut down for at least part of March.

Many of the areas are already closed for refurbishments. Some are slated to reopen later this month in the two parks, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The closures include eight attractions, four restaurants and one shop. All of Critter Country is now closed, but most of it should reopen by mid March.Click on the photo, right, to see pictures and find out which Disney venues are closed in March.

Crews are finishing up a paving project in Tomorrowland in Disneyland within the week.

Two projects are ongoing since last year, including the transformation of Star Tours in Disneyland into a 3D journey. Disney recently announced that Star Tours is set to reopen June 3.

Parades continue to be suspended at both Disney parks.

A new procession, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, is set to debut May 27 in Disneyland. Pixar Play Parade in Disney California Adventure is on hiatus until November during a major construction phase at the park.
