The Alzheimer's Association will present a Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday at Doheny State Beach, part of a series of such walks to raise money to support care and research of Alzheimer's disease.
The goal of Saturday's walk is $95,000. As of Wednesday afternoon, the effort has raised $45,461, according to its website.

Registration will open at 7:30 a.m. with the event concluding at noon. There's a choice of a 2- or 4-mile walk.
Free parking for participants will be available at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 33866 Calle La Primavera, Dana Point. A shuttle will take you to and from the event.
