119 Orange County public schools have earned the highest possible ranking on the state's latest Academic Performance Index. Educators say the API rankings are an important accountability tool because they let the public know how schools in their communities are doing in comparison with other schools in the state as well as in comparison with schools possessing similar socioeconomic characteristics.
